Kathi and a Family,

Kurt was certainly one of the good guys, one of those down-to-earth people you instantly like. We always enjoyed a conversation whether it was at one of the kids sporting events when they were younger, or discussing a new book at the Fenton Library. Our sincere sympathy and prayers are with all of you.

I was lucky enough to have worked with Kurt at Broome County Highway. He always had the can do attitude, which was passed along with all that worked with him.
He will be missed by all. Such a Great Guy......

Kurt was one of the nicest and sweetest guys I worked with at the highway. He had some great stories when I was his wing chick, and when he would come to the window to pick up his check or just to talk. My prayers go out to his family. He will truly be missed

So sorry for your loss. Praying for the Cashman and Knowles families for comfort and peace at such a difficult time. Wish I could be there Saturday, but I live in Florida now. You may remember my Mom, Emma Hall, the elementary art teacher. We shall see them again in heaven in The Lord's time.
Memories and Jesus will hold us until then.

The Cashman/Knowles families,
We are so very sorry for your loss. We too were sadden by the loss of Kurt. He was always there to provide support. Cardio training, fishing tips, lawn & garden equipment or life in general he was there to help. The friendly banter between the Redskins and the Giants will certainly be missed in the fall. The "County Boy" has provided us with many fond memories. Until we meet again, we'll miss you buddy.

My condolences to the Cashman family. Kurt started at the county a few years after I did. We did a lot of jobs together and had a lot of laughs. Kurt did everything with 110 percent and no complaining. His infectious smile and laughter would help you get through the day. I -- no, we all thank him for that !! I can only imagine that right now Kurt and Barney ( his wing man for many years ) are arguing who,s turn it is to get the next can of air freshener for the truck. Anyone who worked with Kurt will understand this one. Kurt my friend , you my be gone for now but trust me ,you will never, never be forgotten !! Thank you for letting us into your world.!! It is not goodbye but until we meet again !!

I'll never have the right words to say in moments like these, but it wouldn't matter, because no words would even start to take away the pain and sorrow that you all are feeling right now. Kurt was one of the friendliest men I knew and I will always remember the fish in the tub in the basement.
To Val, Brit and Brian - losing a parent is one of the worst feelings in the world, but hold tight to each other and cherish all the good times and memories that you have made with your father. Keep an eye out for all the signs that he is with you because he will be with you!! Sending you all my love and deepest sympathies. Xo
