Carl,Melissa,Alice & Elizabeth, I met you some years ago when I traveled with your Dad and Grampa. Maury and I went to school together in Factoryville , PA. We met again later in life at a class reunion and became friends and traveling buddies. We graduated on 1931 and their were 27 kids in our class and now I am the only one left. We kept in touch by telephone these last few years. I was saddened to hear of his passing I have many fond memories of our travels. My thoughts and prayers to all of your family. May God Bless

twenty years ago I met maurie on a bus trip from Binghamton to Botanical gardens in Brooklyn,ny. I got the last seat on the bus and it happened to be next to Maurie. Pretty soon I realized I was sitting beside a dynamo. He surely liked to travel! The three hour bus trip was a travelogue of his excursions around the world. The stand out trip for him I believe was the Mayan caverns. At a later date I was able to view his travels in his personal slide shows which he presented at Masons Lodge 442in Windsor, NY.,where my usband is a member. I then got to know him a little better--and feel like it is proper to call him Maurey. We also share the same birthdate--March 11; although different years. It was my pleasure to meet Maurey, and my sincere condolences go to his wife and children. Janet Fuller, Ouaquaga, NY.

Thank you for sharing your fond memories. Maurie was fortunate to be able to travel as he wanted, part of his pleasure was meeting new and interesting people.

Maurice was always the first member to step forward to volunteer at our three annual breakfast fundraisers. He volunteered and worked up until he was 99 years old - filling the orange juice.

His engaging personality charmed many who would eagerly listen to stories of his many travels around the globe.

We were pleased to have hosted his 100th birthday celebration at our clubhouse in 2014

Condolences are extended to his entire family.

Ruhe in Frieden (Rest in Peace).

I remember my father, Abe Stutzman (who passed away in 2003) always speaking very highly of Mr. Sweitzer and their work together for Aahmes Grotto.
God bless you all.

To Margaret and family:

We were not surprised to see Maurice's obituary, he was one of those people fortunate to have lived a long, healthy and loving life. You and he will be missed at our Annual Masonic Christmas Dinner in Susquehanna, PA. Every year I would write his age on my list so that when he asked me to guess how old he was, I always had the answer. God bless you and the rest of his family.
