Eudora “Dot” Gibb Knowles, of Binghamton, passed away April 16, 2015. She is predeceased by her husband Robert H. Knowles and her brother-in-law Toby Foland. She is survived by her beloved children, Robert and Elizabeth Knowles of Jamesville, NY, Richard and Diana Knowles of Port Crane, Patricia Knowles of Binghamton, Ronald and Julie Knowles of Binghamton, Kathleen and Kurt Cashman of Binghamton, Sharon and Ronald Houghtalen of Clay, NY. The joy of her life – 15 grandchildren, an extra joy – 9 great-grandchildren, her sister Lola Foland, nieces and nephews. After graduating from Binghamton North High School Dot worked at Western Union for 11 years, holding several positions, the main one being night manager during WWII, where she met her husband Staff Sgt. Robert Knowles, USMC. In her later years she worked at the Office for the Aging. She belonged to the Chenango Valley Seniors, serving as their President for 18 years. She was a member of the Ogden Hillcrest United Methodist Church since 1934. Dottie enjoyed playing cards and BINGO with her many friends, and also became fond of her lottery tickets. She will be greatly missed by her many friends.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Friday April 24 at the Ogden Hillcrest United  Methodist Church, 1061 Chenango St. Binghamton. The family will receive friends at the church from 2-3 pm.
