Windsor, formerly of Port Dickinson:  Robert D. Baker, 77, died March 18, 2015 at his home. For over 40 years he was a self-employed licensed electrical contractor in the Binghamton area. He was proud to have his son follow in his footsteps. Bob served in the US Army from 1956-59, with most of his service in Japan. He as an avid gardener and enjoyed hunting on his wife's family farm in Windsor, where he has made his home for the past five years. He is survived by his cherished family, his wife of 58 years, Faye (Rector) Baker, his son Robert D. (Diane) Baker, Jr. of Windsor, daughter Robbin Faye Baker of NC, 3 grandchildren Melissa (Walter) Decker, Brian (Lindsey) Mills and Nathan (Christine) Baker, 4 great-grandchildren Kolby, Avery, Cameron and Addison, two sisters, Virginia (Ray) Earley of Castle Creek and Vivian (John) Piros of SC, three brothers Raymond (Marza) Decker of SC, Richard (Frances) Baker of Binghamton and Rexford Decker of Johnson City, sisters-in-law, Naomi (Ray) Wilcox of Johnson City, Harriet (Dom) Prato of Johnson City, his lifelong friend Fran Gaynor of Vestal, several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his dog Lizzie.


A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 594 Kent St. Windsor. The family will receive friends at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home Sunday from 4-7 pm. Burial will be in the Spring in McClure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to his church or the BC Humane Society.
