Dear Wayne, Steve was the dearest neighbor anyone could ever have. My daughter, Catherine, who tragically died 6 years ago, absolutely loved him(she wrote about him in a couple of papers for school at St.John's) The 2 of them were quite the pair out in the backyard with Steve's amazing garden! I pray for you to have peace and will keep you and close to my heart .

For Steve, Jr.: We always had a soft spot in our hearts for you dad. He was quite a guy. I have so many memories of him and our many conversations when you were a teenager living with him. He was always so proud of you and all of your accomplishments. I can still see the big smile on his face and the proud look in his eyes when we were all at your Press Conference for District Attorney just a few short weeks ago. We are so saddened by the news of his passing. We just want you to know that you and your dad are in our prayers. We pray that you can find a sense of peace as your travel this road of grief. Know that no matter what, he loved you and that love will always be a part of you.

Wayne and Family.....Steve was a great guy! We lived five houses apart when growing up in Deposit. He was the first guy I picked up with my '54 Ford each morning on our way to our junior and senior years at DCS. I also dropped him off at Fowlers each morning on my way to Vestal after we graduated. It was great to meet you at our reunion last September and I wish Steve and I had been able to see each other more often. Time flies too fast and then.....

While I didn't know Stephan, I know your kind, caring, and thoughtful ways, Wayne. By knowing you, I can imagine what he was like and what a loss his passing is to this world.
